WINDLE L. "BUCK" BUCKELEW

Windle L. "Buck" Buckelew, 76, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

He was born April 3, 1931, in Medina, Texas, the son of James Barry and Vera Eloise (Swinney) Buckelew. On April 20, 1975, in Hobbs, N. M., he was united in marriage to Margaret Richardson, who survives.

Additional survivors include; a daughter, Christine Abramovitz, of Cassville; a brother, Winson Buckelew, of Hot Springs, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He received his education in Texas and New Mexico. In 1950 he entered the United States Army National Guard and served his country for thirty-four years. After retiring from the service, he moved to Cassville in 1985 to make his home. He was a member of the Cassville First Baptist Church.

Memorial services with Military Rites were held at Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. John Duncan conducted the services.

Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, at a later date.
