Ruby Amelia Hale, 105, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, in her home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1901, in Shell Knob, the daughter of J.D. and Katie (Marro) Couch. On Oct. 18, 1927, in Berryville, Ark., she was united in marriage to Earl "Bud" Hale, who preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Koeppen and a half-brother, Louis Couch.
|Survivors include: two sisters-in-law, Virginia Elsea, of Independence, and Helen Hale, of Berryville, Ark.||She received her education at Viola and Cassville High School. She taught school at Shell Knob and Hide Out School in Viola. For several years she lived at Viola and Eagle Rock and when Table Rock Lake was built moved to Cassville to make her home. She had resided at her current address since the mid 1960s. As a young girl Ruby played the organ for the Christian Church. She was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ.|
|Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Wayne Deffenbaugh and Chris McCurley conducted the services. Burial was at Viola Cemetery at Viola.|
