Charles M. Hock, 64, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007, in his home.
He was born June 2, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., the son of John and Helen Hock, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include: three daughters, Julia Hock, of Chicago, Ill., Susan Hanson, of California, and Emily Hock, of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Johnny Hock, of Chicago, Ill., Robert Hock, of Florence, and Richard Hock, of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Irene Hock and Josephine Fitzpatrick, both of Chicago, Ill., and Georgiana Gierke, of St. Charles, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He received his education in Chicago, Ill. He was in the United States Army for six years and served in South Korea and Berlin, Germany. After his discharge he became a fireman for the Chicago Fire Department and was the recipient of the Lambert Tree Medal for Bravery. In 1990 after retiring from the Fire Department he moved to Eagle Rock to make his home. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
