Alejandro "Alex" Fernandez, 79, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Curridabat, San Jose, Costa Rica the son of Jose Maria Fernandez and Angelica Sanchez. He married Wilma Snyder on April 14, 1973, in California, and she survives. They moved to Missouri 10 years ago. He attended the First Christian Church in Cassville.
Additional survivors include: one son, Alex Fernandez Jr. and his wife, Miriam, of Pearl City, Hawaii; two daughters, Marjorie Linebarger and her husband, Eddie, of Frazier Park, Calif., Guiselle Pelno and her husband, Larry, of Rome, N. Y.; one step-daughter, Jacqie Campbell and her husband, Duncan, of Oahu, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Noelle and her husband, Jason, of Oahu, Hawaii, and Megan Campbell of Oahu, Hawaii; and two great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.
