Bill Gentry, 75, of Purdy, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Claremore, Okla., the son of the late roy and Bessie (Vaughn) Gentry.
He was a retired dairy farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Missouri National Guard. He married Marie Hall on July 2, 1958, in Washburn and she survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Kem Gentry, of Carthage, and Dale Gentry, of Monett; two daughters, Kristi Hall, of Purdy, and Deborah Schmidt; one brothers, Mark Gentry, of Verona; one sister, Georgene Bruce, of Monett; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Gentry; one brother, Jack Gentry; and one sister Phyllis ann Gentry.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield with Rev. Jerry Nickles officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett-wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
