Pauline Hazel Allen, 92, of Cassville, formerly of Ft. Worth, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at St. John's-Cassville. She had recently resided at Red Rose Inn in Cassville.
She was born on Jan. 31, 1915, in Wetumka, Okla., the daughter of Robert Lee McGill and Alice ella McGill. She married Kermit Allen Sr. on Sept. 24, 1932, in Denison, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1983. She was employed by Alcon Laboratories in Ft. Worth, Texas, for many years before retiring. She was an active member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, before moving to Missouri in 1999.
Survivors include: one son, Kermit Allen and his wife Terry, of Eagle Rock; one sister, Mildred (Mickey) Cox, of Denison, Texas; three grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two step-grandsons; three great-grand children, one great-great grandchild, five step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son, two sisters, and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Mike Allen, Murray Rhoads, Neal Puckett, Lewis Puckett, John Disher, Jacob Rose, Micah Rose, Adrian Rhoads, and Dustin Rhoads.
Services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with Pastor Doyle Russell officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
