Glenn Everett Tucker, 77, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Eagle Rock, the son of Everett and Theo (James) Tucker. In 1953 in Angola, Ind., he was united in marriage to Syble Dees, who preceded him in death on Sept. 3, 1970.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Nadine; stepmother, Harriet (Patton) Tucker; one brother, Rollie "Pete" Tucker; a sister, Mary Helen Shoemaker; twin sisters in infancy; one stepbrother, J. W. Patton; and one stepsister, Evelyn Reed.
Survivors include; two daughters, Joyce Tucker Bridson and her husband, George, of Ozark, and Kathy Tucker, of Cassville; one sister, Louise Tucker Boyer Leitner, of Wichita, Kan.; two stepbrothers, Leo Patton, of Jenkins, and Kenneth Patton and his wife, Monica, of Monett; one stepsister, Olive Hatfield, of Cassville; and three grandchildren,
He graduated from Cassville High School in 1947. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and attended the Michigan State Police Academy. He was proud to be a highway patrolman for 36 years. He was later asked to come back as a consultant and received a commendation from Michigan State Legislature for his duties with the Highway Patrol. Four years ago he moved from Michigan back to Cassville to make his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial with Military Honors was at Horner Cemetery, Cassville.
