CLARABELLE BOUNOUS

Clarabelle Bounous, 81, of Monett, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

She was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Monett, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Jane (Long) Etter.

She was a retired farmer. She was a member of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church in Monett. She also was a member of the American Legion auxiliary. She married Elmer Bounous Oct. 8, 1944, in Mt. Vernon and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2007.

Survivors include: six sons, Elmer Bounous Jr., of Springfield, Edwards Bounous, of Spokane, Wash., John Bounous and Donald Bounous, both of Monett, ronald Bounous, of Pierce City; one daughter, Christine Thomas, of Reeds; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, George and Oscar Etter; and two sisters, Hallie Hallaway and Maxine Etter.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
