VIRGINIA VELMA STEPHENSON

Virginia Velma Stephenson, 79, of Purdy, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at cox Monett Hospital, Monett. She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Fabens, Texas, the daughter of the late Clint and Mattey Irene (Clark) Palmer.

She worked at Jumping Jacks and Justin Boot Company. She worked for several years as a secretary for different trucking companies. She was a member of Ridgley Baptist Church, Ridgley. She married Bob Stephenson and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Livingston, of Fairview; three daughters, Toni Haynes, of Florissant, robin Hall, of Exeter, and tommy Huckstepp, of Monett; two brothers, Marlin Palmer, of Osburn, Idaho, and Carter Palmer, of West Tawakoni, Texas, two sisters, Joyce Lewis, of Ranch Cardova, Calif., and Dayne Eppright, of Webb City; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Livingston, and one daughter, Rebecca Allen.

Funeral services were held Friday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lowery officiating. Burial was at Monett IOOF Cemetery.
