Helen M. Sims-Lorenzo, 85, Cassville, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at her home.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1921, in Powersite, to Zedrick Anderson and Martha Fagley Anderson. She was employed by Pacific Bell for 35 years, and moved back to Missouri from Sacramento, Calif., in 1989. She married Carl Sims on June 5, 1940, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1974. On March 31, 1981, she married Joe Lorenzo and he preceded her in death in September 1994. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-Cassville Branch.

Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Jean Bauman and her husband, John, of Sacramento, Calif., and Patricia Lea Halbmaier and her husband, Darald, of Cassville; one sister, Mary Hotho, of Salem, Ore.; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann Goodale, one brother, one sister, and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held Monday at the Brittian Cemetery in Kirbyville.

Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund and may be entrusted to the funeral home.
