Leona Elaine Midkiff, 64, of Golden, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 22, 1942, in Sholten, the daughter of Eugene Perigen and Jewell Lela (Williams) Perigen. She grew up in Aurora, and worked as a dietary assistant in the food and customer service industry. She raised five children. She attended the Golden Baptist Church and was a member of the Church of Christ in Aurora. She was a volunteer helping the Eagle Rock, Golden, Mano, Fire Department, especially gathering toys for children during the Christmas season.
She married Richard Midkiff in Miami, Okla., on Dec. 3, 1985. He survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Brent Haworth and his wife, Marti, of Crane, Kent Haworth and his wife, Piper, of Purdy, and Dale Haworth and his wife, Jessica, of Monett; two daughters, Vivian McClelland and her husband, Roger, of Lampe, and Ella Harris and her husband, Keith, of Aurora; two step-children, Ed Midkiff and his wife, Julie, of Springfield, and Alan Midkiff and his wife, Holly, of Pella, Iowa. 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with Rev. Woodrow E. Fletcher officiating. Burial was at Viney Creek Cemetery in Golden.
Memorial may be made to the Eagle Rock, Golden, Mano Fire Department or to the Regional Care Hospice in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
