Marjorie L. Reihl, 82, of Monett, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at her home.

She was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Purdy, the daughter of the late Walter and Alphia (Henderson) Swearingen.

She grew up in Purdy and then moved to California where she resided until 2001 when she returned to Monett.

She was a welder in a shipyard during WWII. She married Arthur Reihl Sept. 1, 1962, in Richmond, Calif. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one stepson, Bobby Reihl, of Wisconsin; three sisters, Wilma Davis and Sharon K. Allen, both of Monett, and Mildred Garrett, of Purdy; one bother Jerry D. Swearingen, of Monett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dayton Swearingen and Galen Swearingen and one sister, Virginia Buntin.

Burial will be at a later date in California.

Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
