Charles William "Bill" Marple, 68, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday May 9, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Bentonville, Ark., to Enola V. Suttle and Charles L. Marple.

He worked with his dad Charles L. Marple on the family business Pla-Mor Music Company, and raised beef cattle. He attended Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway and the University of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janice Marple.

Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Linda K. Marple; two sons, Ray Marple, of Springfield, and Kevin Marple and his wife, Krista, of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Kimalee Marple, of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother Jerry Marple, and his wife, Linda, of Cassville; and one sister Ginger Cotton and her husband, Delano, of Fayetteville, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with Rev. Rex Dickey officiating. Burial was at the Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark.
