Bethel S. Passno, 93, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007, in Red Rose Inn of Cassville.
She was born May 16, 1913 in Shady Grove, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Jackson and Mattie Libitha (Lockhart) Segrest, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include: one son, Patrick A. Smith and his wife, Brenda, of Shell Knob; one daughter, Leigh Smith Eaton, of Alpine, Texas; two brothers, Miller Nealon Segrest and Arvie Ralph Segrest, both of Port Arthur, Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She received her education in Woodville, Texas. She moved from Hawkins, Texas, to Shell Knob four and a half years ago to make her home. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Assembly of God in Hawkins. Graveside services were held Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Eureka Springs, Ark., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Missouri. Lonnie Stockton conducted the services.
