NEELEY

Edith Lucille Neeley, 87, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Willard Care Center, Willard.
She was born July 29, 1919, in Cassville, the daughter of Roy and Faye (Garner) Newman. On Dec. 24, 1935, in Neosho, she was united in marriage to Joe Neeley, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1994. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Wilber, Rayburn and Earl and one sister, Louise.
Survivors include: one son, Harold Neeley and his wife, Janet, of Springfield; three daughters, Jan Stockton of Cassville, Anne Williams, of Tulsa, Okla., Donna Hammontree and her husband, Chuck, of Willard; one sister, Frances Rowley, of Bartlesville, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She received her education in Cassville. She worked as a pharmacist clerk at McShanes Drug and The Corner Pharmacy in Monett, until 1957. From 1957 to 1958, she served as the college women s dormitory counselor at the School of the Ozarks, Point Lookout. She then worked for the Crank Drug Company in Springfield. In 1977 she retired to Cassville. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church of Cassville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, in Corinth Baptist Church, Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Neeley will conduct the services. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Corinth Baptist Church or Tulsa Project Woman, an entity which raises money to fund mammograms and breast cancer treatment for uninsured and indigent women in northeast Oklahoma.
