George E. Rosewicz, 61, of Caney, Kan., formerly of Purdy, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007.

He retired from the Kansas City southern Railroad after 26 years of service and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include: his wife, Stella; his children, Kelly Rosewicz, Diana Rosewicz, Lee Ann Rosewicz, all of Purdy, Cheryl Mason, of rocky comfort, and Justin Rosewicz, of Joplin; two stepchildren, Mike Marshall and Starla Martin, of Caney, Kan.; two brothers, Julius Rosewicz, of Joplin, and Emil rosewicz, of Monett; three sisters, Joanna Sperandio, of Verona, Wilma Seufert, of Pierce City, and Delores Rosewicz, of Monett; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Sophie rosewicz and one brother David Rosewicz.
Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Pulaskifield. Father Daniel Robles officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Arrangements were under direction of Wessell funeral Home, Pierce City.
