Lora Kemper Munson Cole, 90, of Seneca, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in Seneca House, Seneca.
She was born Sept. 13, 1916, near Cato, the third daughter of George "Albert" and Nola Mae (Wiley) Thomas. On June 30, 1987, in Miami, Okla., she was united in marriage to Roy Cole, who survives.
Survivors include: one sister, Eileen Sanders, Wheaton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Bert Kemper and Vern Munson; and three sisters, Jewell Griffin Kemper, Eula Mae McAdams, and Clara Edmondson Hamilton.
She graduated as valedictorian of her Cassville high school class in 1934 and attended beauty college in Cassville. She and her first husband, Bert Kemper, were foster parents, house parents for Big Brothers. Her last employment was as the Activities Director at the Joplin Senior Center. She had been a member of the Church of Christ, but had attended the Lutheran Church in Joplin and Grove, Okla., in recent years.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Wheaton Church of Christ under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
