Mary Marie Duncan, 70, of Cassville, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007, in her home.

She was born Aug. 18, 1936, in McDowell, the daughter of Murl and Ivon Marie (Meanes) Cowell. On March 21, 1956, in Aurora, she was united in marriage by Thomas N. Crick, to William Robert Duncan, who survives. Additional survivors include: one son, Robert Lee "Bobby" Duncan and his wife, Christine, of Cassville; five daughters, Janice Bowen and her husband, James, of Fayetteville, Ark., Dorothy Day and her husband, Leonard, of Cassville, Samantha Reed and her husband, Steven, of Cassville, Shirley Fletcher and her husband, LouDon, of Exeter, and Mary Ann Packwood and her husband, Bobby of Exeter; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She received her education at McDowell. She was a life-long resident of Barry County. For several years she had worked as a nurse's aide at Sunset Valley and Cassville Nursing Center (now Barry County Care Center) and was employed a few years at Fasco. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Bill Young and Charles Lauderdale conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
