He was born March 19, 1920, at Wilburn, Ark., to John William Johnson and Rosie Lillian Jones Johnson. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked on many of the road in Bella Vista, Ark. He was a foreman for McClinton Anchor, a poultry and dairy farmer, and raised soy beans and cotton. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Artie Johnson in 1998; four brothers, Elmer Johnson, Jr. Johnson, Leo Johnson, Sib Johnson and one sister Edeline Guinn.
Survivors include; one son, Johnnie Johnson, of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Dianna Nichols, of Garfield, Ark.; two brothers, Eldean Johnson, of Bradford, Ark., and Paul Johnson, of Pleasant Ridge, Ark.; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Monday at Ruddick Cemetery with Bro. Jack Austin officiating. Arrange-ments were under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge, Ark.
