NELSON EUGENE "GENE" WILSON

Nelson Eugene "Gene" Wilson, 68, of Eugene, Ore., passed away Nov. 26, 2006, of lung cancer. He was born Sept. 17, 1938, in Cassville, to Daniel and Belvia "Ray" Wilson.

He married Patricia West on Jan. 1, 1967, in Reno, Nev. He was a trucker and a musician.

A celebration of life was held Dec. 1, 2006, at Major Family Funeral Home, Eugene, Ore.

Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Sheila Girt, of Rainier, Ore., and Renae Culy, of Springfield, Ore.; two sons, Michael Brown, of Springfield, Ore.; three sisters, Alma Bailey and Maxine Henson, both of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Raymond Wilson, of Yuba City, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Private inurnment was at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Ore.
