Rex Lynn Brattin, 54, of Wheaton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in his home.

He was born April 7, 1952, in Cassville, the son of Robert "Robbie" and Jewell Vivian (Nicely) Brattin. On June 16, 1973, he was united in marriage to Brenda Keys, who survives. Additional survivors include: two sons, Mike Brattin, of Wheaton, and Rob Brattin and his wife, India, of Wheaton; one sister, Sheila Packwood, of Wheaton; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He received his education in Wheaton, where he graduated from high school. He bought and sold cattle his entire life. He started buying and selling dairy cattle and later stock cattle. He was on the Wheaton City Council and was a member of the Wheaton Saddle Club.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Dayton Brattin and Gabe Pennell conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
