Veneda Irene Carter, 57, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in her home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Cassville, the daughter of Alvin Clinton "Red" and Dorothy Mae (Tate) Periman.

She received her education in Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. While attending high school Veneda worked at Crowe's Dinner House and then was employed several years with Justin Boot Factory. Her entire life was spent in Cassville. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include: one daughter, Melissa Reane Carter, of Shell Knob; her mother, Dorothy Periman, of Cassville; two brothers, Marvin Periman and his wife, Jenette, of Mt. Vernon, and Lennis Periman and his wife, Val, of Cassville; two sisters, Brenda Robbins and her husband, Wade, of Exeter, and Joyce Ann Periman, of Blue Eye; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Geneva Sue Head.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Brother Terry Bailie conducted the services.
