CARREL "CLEDDY" GAGE

Carrel "Cleddy" Gage, 92, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of William Ruby and Viney Rice Gage.

He was united in marriage to Fannie Inez Gill Gage on April 6, 1935, in Phoenix, Ariz. She preceded him in death April 6, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Gage and his wife, Carolyn, of Purdy, and Wayne Gage and his wife, Betty, of Purdy; four daughters, Pat Russell and her husband, Lavon, of Purdy, Dorothy Lakin and her husband, Doyle, of Paden, Okla., Carolyn Brockman, of Purdy, and Doris Dotson, of Purdy; two sisters, Nadine Masoney, of Bakersfield, Calif., Ruth Douglas, of Bakersfield, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 33 great great grandchildren.

He was retired from Jumping Jacks Shoe Manufacturing Co. He was co-owner and operated Carolyn's Restaurant for many years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel in Monett with Billy Bob Jones and Deny McCorey officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Purdy Cemetery, Purdy.
