Dwaine A. Moeller, 74, of Purdy, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in Cox Monett Hospital, Monett.
He was born May 20, 1932, in Arnold, Kan., the son of Alfred F. and Mary M. (Kraft) Moeller. On March 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Joan Irene Meyers, who preceded him in death on May 19, 1995. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
In 1997, he married Sandra Merideth, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Steve Moeller and his wife, Kathy, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mark Moeller and his wife, Jodie, of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Susan King and her husband, Rod, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Tim Connolly and his wife, Teresa, of Monett, and Chris Jensen and his wife, Lynn, of Monett; one brother, Robert Moeller, of Quincy, Ill.; one sister, Shirley Froelich, of Arnold, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
He received his education in Kansas. He entered the United States Army during the Korean War and later joined the Air Force. After his retirement from the military in 1970, he worked for the U.S.D.A. for twenty years. In 1990 he moved to Missouri to make his home and continued his employment with U.S.D.A. until 1998.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #533, the American Legion and the V.F.W.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cassville and attended the Wheaton Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Wayne Ferguson will conduct the services. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
