Burke Burnett George Jr., 78, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Jan. 25, 2007, in Tulsa. He was married to Clara Ennis in 1957. Until the age of 20 he worked with his father on the George Ranch in Oklahoma. He later worked for McDonnell Douglas, then for American Airlines for 25 year. He worked on components of Apollo and Saturn missiles and had received recognition for his expertise and training of mechanics on the 757 and 767 airplanes. He was an expert in building authentic muzzle loading rifles. He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include: his wife, Clara, of the home; one daughter, Lisa May and her husband, Jim;
and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27 at New Haven Ward Building, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery, McAlester, Okla.
