Berniadine "Bunnie" Branson, 85, of Shell Knob, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in St. John's Hospital -- Cassville.
She was born June 24, 1921, in Springfield, the daughter of William Thomas and Lois Nancy (Stewart) Cheek. On June 1, 1954, in Springfield, she was united in marriage to Ralph Edward Branson, who survives. Additional survivors include: one brother, Thomas Lee Cheek and his wife, Carol, of Woodlands, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Mary Ecord, of Kansas City, Kan., and Josephine (Cheek) Vannoy and her husband, William, of Houston, Texas;
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
She received her education in Springfield and majored in Art at SMS. She was a bookkeeper for Springfield City Utilities for several years. In 1977, she moved from Tulsa, Okla., to Shell Knob to make her home.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Center Point Cemetery, Elkland, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Grant Branson conducted the services.
