Thomas "Tom" Lewis Leverich, 68, of Purdy, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, in his home.

He was born May 11, 1938, in Buckeye, Ariz., the son of Oscar H. and Ina (Keene) Leverich. On Feb. 5, 1955, he was united in marriage to Viola Reeves, who survives.

Additional survivors include: four sons, Dennis Leverich and his wife, Janice, of Shelton, Wash., Chuck Leverich and his wife, Myrtle, of Granby, Kelly Leverich and his wife, Diane, of Castleford, Idaho, and Tom Leverich, Jr. and his wife, Stephani of Purdy, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Priest, of Purdy; four sisters, Helen Johnson, of Cassville, Juanita German, of Edmond, Okla., Ethel Fowler, of South Carolina and Marjorie Endicott, of Claremore, Okla.; 15 grand-children; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.

He received his education in Arizona. He moved to Cave Springs, Ark., then to the Pea Ridge and Rogers area. In 1969 he moved to Missouri where he raised cattle and later chickens. He also owned the G & S Easy Stop convenience store in Cassville for four years.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rambo Cemetery, Rogers, Ark., under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Richard Buck will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
