Thursday, January 18, 2007

The Cassville Democrat's First Baby of 2007, Jagger Lynne Miller, was born at 7:55 a.m. on Jan. 3 at Cox Monett Hospital to Gerry and Amy Miller, of Cassville. Jagger weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20 inches.

"So far, she's the best behaving baby we've had," said Amy with a laugh.

Jagger is Gerry and Amy's third child. She was welcomed home by big brother, Joston, 3, and big sister, Kalia, 18 months. Her proud grandparents are Gerry and Tami Miller, of Cassville, and Bill and Dana Jagger, of Cassville.

After careful consideration on what to name their new little bundle of joy, Gerry and Amy settled on using Amy's maiden name as their little girl's first name.

By winning the First Baby contest, Jagger and her parents will receive an assortment of gifts from area businesses who sponsored the annual contest.

Gifts include: a supply of diapers from Security Bank; a $50 savings account from Freedom Bank; a surprise package from First Baptist Church of Cassville; a baby ring from Tomblin's Jewelry; a $50 savings bond from First State Bank; baby's first teddy bear from Designs by Debbie; a $50 gift certificate from Bank of Seligman; baby's first haircut from The Mane Station; a $25 gift certificate from Wal-Mart; a $25 gift certificate from Chez Notre; a $50 savings bond from Commerce Bank; a surprise baby gift from St. John's Hospital-Cassville; baby's first Bible from Heavenly Treasures and Coffee House; a sterling silver toothbrush from Cassville Dental; and a baby book and a year's subscription from the Cassville Democrat.
