Roy Leon Andrews, 65, of Monett, passed away Saturday, Janu. 6, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
He was born Nov.30, 1941, in Bristow, Okla., the son of Bill and Florine (Slate) Andrews, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, David; a daughter, Florine; and four brothers.
Survivors include: a son, Roy Lynn Andrews, of Cassville; two daughters, Donna Andrews, of Seligman, and Shelly Andrews, of Exeter; stepmother, Bessie Andrews, of Colcord, Okla.; eight brothers, Eli, Max, Wayne, Larry, Carl, Harold, Ricky and Edward; seven sisters, Pearl, Betty, Judy, Anita, Leona, Helen and Ann; and five grandchildren.
He grew up in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. He was a self-employed truck driver for a while and then worked for the foundry in Bentonville, Ark., and Crane. He later began working for Tysons as a chicken catcher and also worked at the Monett Golf Course.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
