Betty Kemper Doyle died Dec. 23, 2006, at the age of 92.

Bessie (Betty) Bernice Kemper was born in l914 to Charles and Martha Henley Kemper of Exeter, Missouri, at their homestead on Old North Road. Her sister Hallie and brothers Max, Bill, Rex, Ralph and Bert all preceded her in death.

Bessie (Betty) Kemper graduated from Exeter High School in l932, Monett Junior College in l935 and Springfield Draughon's Business University where she was a member of Alpha Iota, International Honorary Business Sorority.

In l934 she married John Edward Doyle of Monett, Missouri, who preceded her in death.

In l940 Mrs. Doyle had the honor of representing the State of Missouri at a lawn party honoring veterans at the White House given by President and Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Betty K. Doyle worked for the Federal Government in Washington, D. C., from l939 until l973 when she retired from the Environmental Protection Agency where she served as the Liaison Specialist to the top State Sanitary Engineers.

Following retirement she relocated to the Tulsa/Coweta,Oklahoma area.

Creative writing and short stories were her personal passions.

Betty Kemper Doyle is survived by her two children: son, John Kemper Doyle, of Shell Knob, Missouri, and daughter, Cathleen Doyle, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, as well as her granddaughter Veronica Doyle Neuland and great grandson Zachary Neuland, both of Churchton, Maryland.

She will also be missed by a circle of close personal friends and relatives.

There will be a graveside service in the spring at the Exeter Maple Wood Cemetery. paid
