Information needed on area accident

Friday, January 5, 2007

Dear Editor:

Last Saturday, Dec. 23, I was involved in an accident with my grandkids, my daughter-in-law and my friend in her Pontiac Montana van on Highway 37 just north of Cassville.

A small blue (Grand Prix, 80s model) came completely into our lane about to hit us head on. We swerved immediately, slid across the other side of the road and overturned. The Grand Prix did not stop and continued southbound on 37.

I would like to thank the First Responders and paramedics who were quick and very efficient in attending to each of us. I would also like to thank the numerous people that stopped to see if we were ok.

Although my friend Renee received a neck fracture, my grandkids, daughter-in-law and I escaped with minor cuts and injuries---largely due to the fact that we were all wearing seatbelts.

Any information about the driver or his license number would be greatly appreciated and should be reported to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Thank you,

Lee R. Schroeder II
