JESSIE LEA WRIGHT

Jessie Lea Wright, 79, Wichita, Kan., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006. She was born April 21, 1927, in Exeter to George Jones and Lucinda Kester. In 1944, she married Roy E. Griffith who preceded her in death. To this union two children were born. In 1952, she married Junior Glendon Wright who preceded her in death in 1997. To this union six children were born.

She graduated from Exeter High School in 1944. After working for Duckwall's for 14 years, she worked with her daughter Glenda as a floral arranger in the wedding business.

Survivors include: her eight children, Frances G. Albert, Bill Griffith, Glenda Sue Blanchat, Larry Joe Wright, Shirley Jane Wright, Betty Ann Boatwright, Bobby Gene Wright and Cynthia Bishop; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at Faith Baptist Church in Andover, Kan. Interment was at Kechi Cemetery.
