Charles Floyd Akins, 61, of Washburn, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center at Bentonville, Ark.

He was born on Oct. 9,1945, in Washburn, the son of Johnny Akins and Maxine Foster. He attended Southwest High School in Washburn. He was a self employed truck driver and attended the First Baptist Church of Washburn. He married Janette Hilery, of Washburn.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Akins, his brother Billy Akins and his in-Laws Everett and Neoma Hilery.

Additional survivors include: his wife, Janette Akins, of Washburn; his mother, Maxine Akins; one son, Chuck Akins and his wife, Lena, of Washburn; and one daughter Lisa Seabolt and her husband, Michael, of Washburn; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn, with Rev. Glenn Erwin officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Washburn, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.
