Uel Francis Stever, 78, of Yuba City, Calif., died Oct. 18, 2006.

He was born in Mano and had been a resident of Yuba City, Calif., for the past 40 years.

He was retired from Classic Creations Floral Manufacturing in Yuba City, Calif. He also worked at Bendix and Airmod, the Teen Challenge in Ventura, Calif. He had also worked on the first B-52 prototype at Boeing in Wichita, Kan.

He was a member of the National Pitchers Horseshoe Association and the Professional Golfers Association of America and the Senior PGA.

Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Edna Stever, of Yuba City, Calif.; five daughters, Mona Marohn, Ronda Edwards, Karen Boshart and Karla Stever, all of Yuba City and Kim Smith, of Los Molinas, Calif.; a sister, Freda Renick, of Lee's Summit; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services was held Tuesday at Crossroads Community Church, Yuba City, with Jim Clark officiating. Burial followed at Sutter Cemetery.
