Norma Jean Forgey, 72, of Wheaton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, in Cox Monett Hospital, Monett.
She was born May 24, 1934, in Fairview, the daughter of Jess and Alta (Scott) McTeer. On Sept. 12, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark., she was united in marriage to Morris E. Forgey, who preceded her in death on June 14, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: two sons, Dale Forgey and his wife, Sandy, of Wheaton, and Dan Forgey; a brother, James McTeer, of Kansas City; a sister, Aline Cole, of Monett; and four grandchildren.
She received her education in Wheaton. She worked at Dale's IGA, Kraft Milk Plant, the Wheaton Livestock Auction and as a secretary 38 years for Vollenweiders Orchard. She was a member of the Ridgley Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Ridgley Baptist Church, Ridgley, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield. Contributions may be made to the Wheaton Athletic Booster Club or the Morris Forgey Scholarship Fund.
