Chester Duane Eriksen, 90, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, in his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Jens C. and Anna (Nelson) Eriksen. On Nov. 23, 1939, he was united in marriage to Edith Grace Gustafson, who survives. Additional survivors include: one son, Ronald Eriksen, of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Judi Monacello, of Shell Knob; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.

He received his education in Chicago, Ill. He worked as a printer for the Chicago Rotoprint Company. In 1978 he moved to Shell Knob.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in Viola Baptist Church, Viola. Cremation was under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
