Jimmie Wilks, 57, of Garfield, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at his home.

He was born Aug. 25, 1949, at Garfield, Ark., to Milbern Franklin Wilks and Virginia Wilks. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in business. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Wal-Mart after eight years. He was self-employed as a home builder. He was preceded in death by this parents, setpfather, Floyd Roller; four brothers, Richard Wilks, Roger Wilks, Ronald Wilks, and Randall Wilks. He attended the West Side Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark.

Survivors include: two daughter, Misty Dawn Wilks, of Rogers, Ark., and Staff Sergeant Carrie Lowe, of Sumpter, S.C.; one son, Matt Wilks, of Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers, Bill Wilks, of Garfield, Butch Wilks, of Pea Ridge, Ark., four sisters, Mary Ann Dean, of Lincoln, Neb., Glenda Bolin, of Western Grove, Ark., Cheryl Wilson, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Donna Bell, of Rogers, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services is service was held Saturday at Bayless Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Lane officiating. Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Full military honors were by VFW Post #3031 of Avoca, Ark.
