HERMAN GREVE

Herman Greve, 88, of Pierce City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Monett Health Care. He was born Aug. 5, 1918 in Emmen, Holland, the son of the late Frans and Maria Greve. he married Ruth Anna Johnson on April 7, 1951, and she survives. He was a retired dairy farmer. He was a veteran of the Dutch Army in WWII.

Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Anna Greve; one daughter, Mary Moore, of Verona; two sisters, Helena Alers, of Holland and Maria Eikens, of Holland; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Johan Greve and two sisters, Margaretha and Aleida.

Graveside services were held Monday at Sample Cemetery in Morris, Ill., with Rev. Thomas Ostrander officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
