Jimmie "Jim" Rex Bryan, 70, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006, in his home.
He was born June 26, 1936, in Hamilton, Missouri, the son of Ralph and Lois (Murrell) Bryan. On September 14, 1960, in Bonaire, Georgia, he was united in marriage to Marie Dolores Lucero, who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Bryan of Springfield, Missouri; a son, John Bryan and his wife, Becky of Rolla, Missouri; a daughter, Cecilia Bryan of Wichita, Kansas; a brother, Larry Bryan and his wife, Brenda of Mulvane, Kansas; two grandchildren, Wilson and Elizabeth Bryan; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.
Jim graduated from Wichita High School East and served his country in the United States Army. He worked several years for the P. B. Hoidale Company, in Wichita, Kansas. In 1996 he moved to Shell Knob to make his home. Jim was a member of the Eagles Lodge and a member of the Grace Community Fellowship Church where he was the construction general contractor on their building project. He enjoyed golfing and tinkering with machinery. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and friend, a very caring person to all.
Memorial services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 2, 2006, in Grace Community Fellowship, Shell Knob, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Jonathan Brobston conducted the services.
