JOSEPH EVERT BEATY

Joseph Evert Beaty, 59, of Monett, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Cox Monett Hospital. He was born April 2, 1947, in Parsons, Kan., the son of the late Evert and Virginia Beaty. He married Cheryn Lamm on Oct. 16, 1971, and she survives. He was a jeweler and salesman at Southerlands. He was a member of the American Pilot Association and the Jaycees and was a retired Navy veteran.

Survivors include: his wife, Cheryn, one daughter, Lauren Fisher and her husband Jarod, of Republic; one grandson; and three sisters, Gretchen Cole, of Olathe, Kan., Kathy Gerdes, of Altamont, Kan., and Janice Beaty, of California.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett with Rev. Todd Stewart officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. that afternoon at South Fork Cemetery in Sweet Springs.
