Mary L. Hendrix, 73, of Exeter, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, in St. John's Hospital, Cassville.

She was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Monett, the daughter of William and Mahala (May) Williams. On Oct. 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to Edwin Hendrix, who survives.

survivors include: three children, Linda Cornell and her husband, David, of Anderson, Debbie Park and her husband, Buddy, of Wheaton, and David Hendrix, of Neosho; a daughter-in-law, Kim Hendrix, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Dimple Lewis and her husband, Carl, of Cassville; and one brother, Dale Williams and his wife, Janie, of Bella Vista, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Rex, Gerald, Lavon and Max Williams.

She received her education at Exeter, where she graduated from high school. After their marriage, she and Edwin lived various places while he served in the military. In 1979, they moved back to this area, making Wheaton their home. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Brother Steve Higgs conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort.
