Boyd Dean Sipe, 76, of Shell Knob, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, in Barry County Care Center, Cassville.

He was born March 31, 1930, in Enid, Okla., the only child of Chesley David and Lela (Puckett) Sipe. He was united in marriage to Jean M. (Wilcox) Komorowski, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He received his education in Maran, Kan. During the Korean War he served in the United States Air Force in Alaska as an Airman 1st Class. After the war he went to radio mechanic school in Belleville, Ill. For several years he operated National Lead Company in St. Louis, making paint, remaining there until the plant closed. He then became an over the road truck driver several years before his retirement. He also had his private pilot's license.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Denzel Nonhof conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.
