Leroy Brattin, 74, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, in his home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Ridgley, the son of Champ and Lucille (Savage) Brattin. On Nov. 15, 1950, in Calvary Baptist Church at Exeter, he was united in marriage to Sue Stephenson, who survives.

Additional survivors include: four sons, Stan Brattin and his wife, Shirley, of Cassville, Randy Brattin of Kalamazoo, Mich., Rick Brattin and his wife, Carrie, of Tulsa, Okla., and John Brattin and his wife, Brenda, of Jackson, Mich.; one daughter, Jan Massey and her husband, Bob, of Eagle Rock; one sister, Juanita Banks and her husband, Ronnie, of Washburn; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He received his education in Cassville where he graduated from High School. He was a lifelong resident of the Cassville area and was owner of Brattin Insurance Agency. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Neeley will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Donations may be made to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund in his memory.
