He was a retired insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group; a Veteran of the WWII Army Air Corp.; a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monett; a member of the Monett Masonic Lodge # 129; and a member of the Barry County Shrine Club, Abou Ben Adhem Temple of Springfield.
Survivors include: one son, John W. Campbell IV, of Pierce City; one daughter, Janice Jean Jackson, of San Marcos, Texas; four step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Jean Speck, of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Stuart Campbell and Dr. Phillip Campbell.
Graveside services were held Friday at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Masonic services were held Thursday. Memorials may be made to Monett Community Hospice Unit in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bennett Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
