ELLA GORE DOTSON

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Gore Dotson, 92, of Pierce City, formerly of the Crane area, were held today (Wednesday) in the Williams Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doyle Russell officiating. Burial followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home of Marionville.

She was born in Stone County on Sept. 19, 1913, to James and Alice White Gore. She passed away in her home Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006. She was a homemaker.

On March 26, 1933, in Baxter, she was married to Earl Dotson and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

She was a member of the Community Faith Chapel in Cassville.

Survivors include: two sons, Jule Dotson, and his wife, Judy, of Marionville, and Howard Dotson, and his wife, Lois, of Crane; two daughters, Gayle Russell and her husband, Rev. Doyle Russell, of Aurora, and Janice Crow and her husband, Lawrence, of Pierce City; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
