Galen Keith Cochran, 27, of Eagle Rock, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in his home.

He was born Dec. 26, 1978, in Springdale, Ark., the son of Buddy and Judy (Miller) Cochran. On Feb. 14, 1998, in Shell Knob, he was united in marriage to Stacy McDougle, who survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother and step-father, Judy and Dean Gurney, of Shell Knob; his father, Buddy Cochran, of Cassville; one brother, Bryndon Cochran and his wife, Jennifer, of Eagle Rock; three sisters, Shonna Lynn Cochran-Roberts, of Eagle Rock, Crystal Cochran, of Cassville and Carrie Eoff and her husband, of Huntsville, Ark.; his grandmother, Willa Miller, of Shell Knob. He was also very close to his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Vickie McDougle, of Shell Knob and sister-in-law, Leslie McDougle, of Kansas City, and a very special friend, Mike Burns, of Shell Knob. Stacy is expecting their first child the last of February or early March.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and a grandmother.

He attended Cassville High School and continued his education at Vatterott Global College in Springfield. He owned and operated The Computer Shoppe in Cassville along with his wife, Stacy. He spent most of his life in the Shell Knob and Eagle Rock areas. At an early age he was baptized in the Faith Christian Church in Eureka Springs, Ark.

He was a member of Cassville Chamber of Commerce and Eagle Rock Community Association.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Gary Hayhurst conducted the services. Burial will be on the family farm in Shell Knob.
