Geneva S. (Owens) Davenport, 70, of Jane, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark., from a sudden illness.
She was born July 8, 1936, in Butterfield, the daughter of John and Telecy (Allman) Owens. On Aug. 3, 1973, she was united in marriage to Russell Davenport, who survives.
Additional survivors include: five sons, Roy McDonald, of Springdale, Ark., Tom McDonald and his wife, Jackie, of Jane, Mike McDonald of Rogers, Ark., Matt Galvin, of Nevada, and Joey Galvin, of Oregon; one daughter, Dawn Matsomura, of Nevada; one sister, Catherine Davis, of Exeter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bud Owens, Gene Owens and Jack Owens and one sister, Betty Roller.
She grew up in Butterfield, where she attended school. She worked several years as a diet center counselor. In 1999 she moved to Jane to make her home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Russell Cemetery, Butterfield.
