Mrs. Lucille K. Walters, 84, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2006, in her home.
She was born Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Richard and Neva (Bohanan) Perriman. On Friday, May 13, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, she was united in marriage to Loren Walters, who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Eric Walters.
survived include: three sons, Dr. Larry Walters and his wife, Darlene, of Albuquerque, N. M., Dr. Lonnie Walters and his wife, Sharon, of Springfield, and Dr. Sam Walters and his wife, Sue, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two daughters, Janice Stumpff and her husband, Rex, of Cassville, and Joyce Welch and her husband, Stanley, of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Bill Perriman and his wife, Madge, of Aurora; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.
She lived in Missouri her entire life, from Mt. Vernon to Miller to Aurora to St. Louis and to Cassville in 1963. While living in Aurora, she owned and managed "Squeezin Café" and later worked at Ocoma Foods in Marionville as a floor lady. She attended beauty school and owned and operated J & L Beauty Shop for several years. She and her husband also owned Walters Pest Control. She played an active roll in organizing the new building for the Senior Citizens Complex where it is presently located. She was a member of the Gunter Methodist Church, Butterfield.
Funeral services were held Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jerry Nickle conducted the services. Burial was at Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora.
