CLARA (ASHLOCK) UNFER

Clara (Ashlock) Unfer, 84, of Cassville, passed away June 19, 2006. She was born in Hickory, Ark., on Feb. 11, 1922. She is the oldest and survived by four brothers and sisters.

She married Sherman Woods, of Ault, Colo., in 1936 where they farmed until his death in 1961.

She met Vic Unfer, her surviving spouse of 40 years, in Valdez, Alaska. At that time Vic was a truck driver and Clara was making her famous pies.

She was the mother of seven children. Her four surviving children are: Audrey Poplin, of Valdez, Alaska, Patsy Fabrizius, of Windsor, Colo., Monty Woods of Cassville, and Becky Fortenberry, of Ault, Colo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grand-children and 13 step great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) with funeral services at 7 p.m. in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

There will be a service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, in Adamson Memorial Chapel, Greeley, Colo., with burial in Ault Cemetery, Ault Colo.
