Cleo Ketchel Blankinship, age 86, of Garfield, Ark., formerly of Jenkins, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, in Heritage Park Nursing Center, Rogers, Ark.

He was born Aug. 15, 1919, in Guymon, Okla., the son of Thomas Jefferson and Effie Elizabeth (Snider) Blankinship. On Dec. 20, 1964, in Hollister, he was united in marriage to Lois Wanda Inmon, who preceded him in death in 1988.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stanley Blankinship and one sister, Thelma Brigman.

Survivors include: four sons, Thomas Blankenship, of Rogers, Ark., David Blankenship, of Grain Valley, Everett Bunch, of Mt. Vernon, and Tom Bunch, of Marionville; four daughters, Kathryn Williams, of Garfield, Ark., Kay Dobson, of Butler, Carol Shoemaker, of Jefferson City, and Wanda Turman, of Waco, Texas; two brothers, Troy Blankinship, of Caney, Kan., and Sam Blankinship, of Ukiah, Calif.; 30 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

During World War II he was in the United States Army in the infantry, serving from Dec. 10, 1942, until Jan. 24, 1946. He spent most of his life in Barry County and worked at Forest Products in Cassville several years. In 1967 he moved to the Branson area and was employed as a Security Officer at Silver Dollar City, retiring in 1983. Cleo was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Everett Bunch conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins.
